Efficiency of cavity dissolution in rock salt by water submerged jets

To create cavities when dissolving rock salt, it is most expedient to supply the solvent through nozzles of a perforated pipe in form submerged jets. This article examines physical dissolution cavity with water from stationary nozzle diameter 0.004 m at two constant velocities cross-section. The efficiency dissolution, which has an almost cylindrical shape semi-cylindrical bottom, was analyzed cross-section speed 8.85 m/s. obtained results are explained on basis fact that formed short dead-end channel where longitudinal compression acts. flow such caused by back pressure exerted its end. And pressure, turn, hinders development jet flows out nozzle, limiting range. cessation significant expansion indirectly confirmed use empirical formula for distribution maximum velocity along axis jet.
